Mother Nature tossed out some angry clouds this morning but that didn’t keep the Flaherty family(Kelly, Dan, Colin, Teddy and Will) (Boston, MA) from a great day of fishing the reef with Capt Kevin. Mangrove and yellowtail snapper along with a barracuda release kept em reeling in the fish.

Fantastic fishing is the best way to describe the trip to the reef this morning! Jaime & Michael Redding (Kansas City, MO) along with father in law Barrett Holder(Bluewater Key, FL) limited out on nice sized yellowtails. Michael wanted to catch a big fish so a release of an 20 lb Amberjack and an over 200 lb lemon shark is definitely something he will cross off his
bucket list. Good times!Thank you for your service Michael! #military

Straight from the hills of Virginia, these 2 rednecks Marty Miller and Randy Hawkins (Vinton Va) along with long time non redneck friend Rob Brotemarkle were fishing fools today on the reef. Mates Barbie and Glenn Mulder assisted Capt Kevin and the guys limited out w 60 yellowtails. Randy released this toothy barracuda which put up a good fight, caught on kite.

Friday the 13th proved to be a good luck charm for Billy and Madeline Fornaro, along with friends Dennis and Melinda McWilliams. Sadly, had to release this black grouper, strawberry grouper and jewfish but despite bumpy seas limited out with 70 yellowtail snapper. Capt Kevin along Mates Barbie and Glen Mulder kept the fish coming in! 0005-20150213a_Fornaro_FishingLR-1336 0002-20150213a_Fornaro_FishingLR-1318 0006-20150213a_Fornaro_FishingLR-1342 0003-20150213a_Fornaro_FishingLR-1323 0001-20150213a_Fornaro_FishingLR-1317 0004-20150213a_Fornaro_FishingLR-1326

Fran Spuhler, Matt Schuda along with Chips Tagland Jr and Sr left the snow in Cherry Hill & Morristown NJ and travelled all night to get to Geiger Key Marina. They had a nice smorgasboard of fish today on the reef. Their catch included 7 medium king mackerel, 3 Ceros, and release of one lemon and one bull shark. And of course, they limited out on Yellowtail snapper.
