Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

2-15-2007 Joe and Jean Felasca and their grandson had a great day of fishing landing their limit of flag yellowtail and 2 nice king mackerel weighing in at 27 and 32 lbs. 2-17-2007 Ken, Torris and Zach Sandeno visiting from Morris IL braved cool weather and calm seas to bring in their limit of flag yellowtail snapper. Zach landed the biggest yellowtail weighing in at 3 1/2 lbs all by himself. Brother Torris also landed several big yellowtail. Dad Ken caught a 20 lb black grouper using live bait.

2-7-2007 Wellllll this winter Mother Nature has not been too nice..it has been very breezy but when the weather was good the bite was on!!! In Jan Dave, Dylan and Katelyn Peters from Manteno, IL braved rough seas and did a trip to the Gulf/ They released a 35 lb Jewfish and a 40 inch red drum. They also had their limit of mangrove snapper.

On Feb 3 Jerri and Bill Hurst, from Louisana fished with a couple of friends of theirs in bumpy seas and caught their limit of flag yellowtail snapper on the reef. Glen Mulder(a neighbor) fished with Capt Kevin on Feb 5 and landed 2 large black grouper weighing in at 21 and 25 lbs!!! Kevin has added 4 new Shimano 10 lb spinners for fighting those yellowtail, so everyone gets to enjoy the challenge! That light tackle is way tooooooo fun. Fishing is good all year round in the Florida Keys. The weather is great and the temperature is always moderate.
