On Saturday the Sandeno family from Morris IL bottom fished rockpiles in Hawks Channel with Capt Kevin. The grandkids Tyler and Trent had a blast reeling in lane snapper, and released small grouper.
On Friday Bourke and Shirley Lodewyk of Gladwin MI, along with Stan Muterbaugh fished the reef in choppy seas and stiff winds. They brought in their limit of yellowtail and Stan landed a 26 lb king mackerel
After a soggy start today, Tom Higgins of Key West and his brother in law Alex Rende fished the reef with Capt Kevin. Alex landed a 26 lb king mackerel and released a decent sized jewfish. They also brought in their limit of yellowtail snapper.
Today Capt Kevin took out Dave Manthei, Jason , Brandi and Eric Lowe from Rockford IL. Using live bait on kite using live blue runner Eric landed a 26 lb king mackerel. They also released a legal black grouper, a nurse shark, and also brought in a nice mess of flag yellowtail snapper.
On Sat, Jen Marzak, Ted Keigher, and David and Norm Riordan from Manteno IL fished the reef with Capt Kevin. Jen released an 8 ft sailfish and they also released a large bullshark. They landed several large yellowtail snapper, and several bonita
On Friday Capt Kevin took out the Sandeno family from Morris IL, Ken Tor and Zach. They brought in their limit of yellowtail snapper and 2 amberjacks weighing 38 and 25 lbs..
On Dec 31 Rebecca(6yrs old) , Julie and Mark Kugler from Oley, PA fished the reef with Capt Kevin. Rebecca displays several of the nice large flag yellowtail that she caught all by herself. They had their limit of yellowtail snapper also.
On Saturday Dec 26, Haley, Derren and Fred Johnson from Baton Rouge LA fished the reef with Capt Kevin and Barbie. Haley landed and released a 60 lb jewfish, and Fred also brought in an 8 lb black grouper, and released a 30 lb barracuda. They also had a nice mess of yellowtail snapper and 2 cero mackerels.
On Friday Dec 11, Don Thibault, Steve Kovar, Eric Erickson and Mike Lebouf from Cape Cod MA fished reef with Capt Kevin . They brought in their limit of yellowtail snapper, a black grouper, several bonita and also released a 150 lb lemon shark.
Carlos Perez and Rob Legnosky from West New York and Jersey City NJ fished the reef with Capt Kevin Wilson, Knee Deep Charters, Geiger Key Marina.
They landed 2 black grouper weighing 20 lbs each and 32 lb and 25 lb king mackerel using live bait. They also landed their limit of yellowtail snapper and enjoyed a fresh yellowtail sandwich for lunch at Geiger Key Marina.
